Following the release of EPA Guidelines, Best Practice and Environmental Management (BPEM), all new landfill cells (Type 2 – Municipal Solid Waste) are now required to have a composite liner system, which as a minimum, shall comprise of a 1,000 mm thick compacted clay liner (CCL), 2.0 mm High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) geomembrane liner, and a Geotextile Cushion protection layer.
Across Australia there has been renewed interest in providing and upgrading sports facilities and in particular aquatic centres. At the heart of this resurgence is a new found appreciation of how, if done well, these facilities can contribute to enhancing a community’s pride by providing a hub of activity, as well as contributing to community health, wellbeing and fitness.
